The Lady Trojans opened conference play at home against Lowell, earning a thrilling five-set victory in a nail-biter, 12–25, 25–20, 25–23, 18–25, 15–7. Senior Kaitlin Smith and sophomore Erin Kowal led the offense with 15 kills each. Sophomore Jaymie Nakatsuka recorded a career-high 28 digs, while senior Aubree Ahrens added 15 digs to help secure the win. With the victory, the Lady Trojans improve to 1–0 in conference play and 9–2 overall. The Trojans will hit the road tomorrow to take on Merrillville. See less
