Highland High School

Highland Boys wrestling turned in a strong team effort at the Portage Sectional, finishing 4th out of 8 teams. The Trojans were led by a sectional championship from Landen Garrison (150), who battled his way to a first-place finish. Highland also produced two runners-up, with Josue Ahmad (126) and Simon Martinez (138). Additional podium finishes came from Leo Velasco (113) and Gavin Wilson (132), who each placed third, while Kaeleb Mortimer (144) and Tyler Bishop (157) with fourth-place finishes. Brian Holmquist (120) and Bobby Baker (285) rounded out Highland’s scoring with sixth-place performances. The boys will advance to the regional tournament and travel to Hobart this Saturday, looking to continue its postseason run.
