Varsity vs ILLIANA CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL (46 - 29) Win Highland boys wrestling team opened the season with a strong overall performance across both varsity and JV. The varsity squad dominated with nine victories—powered by seven pins and two tech falls—highlighted by big wins from Leo Velasco , Chase Allison, Simon Martinez, Kaeleb Mortimer, Tyler Bishop, and Landen Garrison. The upper weights closed the door with pins from Aden Nelson and Mahmoud Abidallah (who earned pin of the night). The JV team battled to a 35–21 win. Michael Fuentes (138) delivered a first-period fall, Aladeen Mohammed added a tech fall, and both Jesus Rodriguez and Fabian Magallanes picked up clutch pins to secure the dual win.
