On Saturday, the Lady Raiders hosted the IHSAA Sectionals and delivered a dominant performance. In the morning matchup against Kokomo, the Raiders came out strong and took care of business, sweeping the Wildkats in three sets: 25-11, 25-14, 25-15. Later that evening, they faced the McCutcheon Mavericks in the championship round. It was a tough battle, but the Raiders rose to the occasion and swept the Mavericks in straight sets: 25-19, 25-23, 25-17 — securing their third consecutive Sectional Championship. During Saturday’s Sectional run, senior setter Jill Deno made history by claiming the school record for career assists!
