This heated rivalry started off fast and furious with goal-scoring opportunities and physicality! The Raiders were able to find the back of the net off a Simon Ailor assist and a Joey McKenna finish to the low left corner. The Raiders took a 1-0 lead about 20 minutes into the contest. That is all the Raiders would need. The Raider defense and goalkeeping were stellar all evening long. Seth Dewell covered his man-marking responsibilities all night, the backline limited opportunities and thwarted any Mav attack, and GK Marshall Crowell earned his 4th shutout in 8 games, along with stopping a PK in the last 15 minutes of the game. The Raiders will play Logansport on Saturday at 2 pm in hopes of winning their 5th consecutive sectional championship.
