The Raiders opened their tennis season in dominant fashion, sweeping Twin Lakes 5-0 to secure their first victory of the year. Senior Emerson Mohr delivered a performance for the history books at No. 2 singles, completing a golden set—winning every point in the first set before cruising to victory. The feat is exceptionally rare in competitive tennis and set the tone for the Raiders’ dominance. At No. 1 singles, sophomore Zan Young followed next, posting a 6-0, 6-0 win, while senior Henry Graham powered through his match at No. 3 singles with an impressive 6-0, 6-1 victory. The Raiders’ doubles teams followed suit. At No. 1 doubles, senior Johnny Couture and junior Moti Tesfaye shook off a tight start before rolling to a 6-3, 6-0 win. At No. 2 doubles, juniors Kegan Wargo and Clemente Martinez found their rhythm quickly and closed out their match 6-3, 6-1. The 5-0 sweep showcases the Raiders’ depth and focus as they prepare for a major early-season test. The team will host defending sectional champion West Lafayette at home this Thursday.
