Good morning, Last night the Hanover-Horton Middle School Cross Country team competed at the Parkside Middle School Invitational hosted at Ella Sharp Park. The rain held off just long enough to get all the races in, keeping the course in great condition. This meet separated the team by grade allowing some extra chance for medals and team rankings. In the girls 6th grade race, Kendall Wasilenski led the team. Finishing 14th and securing a medal. Filling out the rest of the team was Claire Boulis, Macie Winter, and Harper Hobart for a team place of 6th. In the 7th grade boys race, Axis Jakubas led the team with a 21st place finish. For the girls 7th grade race, Edie Alleger finished in 32nd. In the 8th grade race, Nolan Miller was 38th, followed by Santos Dinius, Nolan Liecthy, and Oliver Pearson for a team place of 9th. Finally the 8th grade girls team finished 4th. Led by Emery Day, who took 12th, and Sydnee Meade, 15th, receiving medals. Jane Alleger was 21st, cutting over 40 second off her personal best, and Maceyn Gonzales finished in 38th. Overall it was a great day to race and the whole team ran well. We travel to Addison next Tuesday for our second conference Jamboree. --Coach Heath
