Hanover-Horton Athletics

Yesterday the Hanover-Horton Middle School Cross Country teams competed at our first Cascades Conference Jamboree of the season. We were the host school, racing at Heritage Park. The weather was fantastic for running although the course still had some mud from the weekend rain. The boys team competed first, finishing 3rd. Austin Toteff lead the team with his first win, finishing the 2 mile course in 12:20. Axis Jakubas finished 12th, Nolan Miller was 19th, and Oliver Cook was 21st. In the girls race, Harper Blanton and Emery Day finished 5th and 6th to lead the team to a 2nd place finish. Allison Dorian, Kendall Wasilenski, Dakota Curtis, and Sydnee Meade finished 14th through 17th. Overall it was a great day for the meet and both teams were competitive. We race next at Ella Sharp Park on October 1st. --Coach Heath
