Hanover-Horton Athletics

Yesterday the Hanover-Horton Middle School Cross Country teams competed at the Meckley’s Invitational. The weather was great and the team ran well. Starting the meet was the 1 Mile race. Caleb Britton finished 8th overall in a time of 8:04 in the boys division. For the girls, Kendall Wasilenksi won in a time of 7:33 followed by Macie Winter in 6th and Edie Alleger in 8th. For the Boys 2 mile, the team finished 13th overall. Axis Jakubas led the team finishing 77th followed by Nolan Leichty and Nolan Miller in 84th and 85th. In the girls 2 mile, the team finished 8th. Emery Day was our top runner at 27th, followed by Sydnee Meade and Dakota Curtis at 41st and 46th. Overall it was a great race day for our team. We compete next at Homer on Saturday. --Coach Heath
