Comet Football Runs into VERY Tough Hudson Squad

The Hanover-Horton Comets football team started off their season Friday night against the Hudson Tigers, dropping the contest 56-6. The Tigers amassed over 500 yards of offense while turnovers, penalties, and execution mistakes plagued the Comets offense. JJ Russ led the Comets rushing attack with 45 yards on the night, and freshman Owen Sloan scored the lone touchdown late in the 4th. Blake Cogan was the leading tackler with eleven stops. Kolin Griffiths added nine tackles and an interception to increase the school record career interception mark. The Comets will return to action Thursday night when they go on the road to take on Vandercook Lake. -Coach Vinton
