In their final race of the season, the boys cross country team capped off a very impressive year, finishing 14th out of 25 teams. Chase Fajman concluded his high school career with a top-50 placement and a time of 17:05.3, which was a 1:05 improvement from his junior year. Noah Hernandez ran a near-personal best, crossing the line in 17:53.8. Rounding out the top 5 were Braden Flood, who finished in 18:25.5, and Langdon Oldenburg, who finished in 18:26.7. Grant Zuzich made his way through New Prairie in a time of 18:36.2, while Bennett Duffy concluded his year in 18:43.8. After the race had finished, the Wildcats waited to see whether Ryan Sandberg would be moving on to next week's State meet. When all of the results had been read, HC's fans erupted in cheers when Ryan Sandberg's name was read as the 15th qualifier! Ryan becomes the 6th runner in HCXC history to advance to the State finals, joining the ranks of Jason Storms, David Gladys, Kevin Paszko, Bryce Noble, and Ryan York. "Sandy" will have the chance to improve upon his time from the first meet of the year and tackle the course in Cross Country USA.
