Varsity vs Highland High School Win 5-0 The Wildcats hosted Highland on Thursday evening and came out on top 5-0. Varsity and JV did not drop a single match all together on the evening. 1 and 2 singles both won in dominant fashion. Mitch Remaly won 6-0, 6-0 at the 1 spot. Ben Hall won 6-0, 6-1 at the 2 spot. At 3 singles, Jacob Drewno won 6-3, 4-6, 6-2. Drewno had a great third set to close out the match. At 1 doubles, Patrick Juchniewicz and Henry Stessl won 1-6, 6-3, 6-3. After a tough first set, the pair picked it up and controlled the rest of the match in sets 2 and 3. At 2 doubles, Ari Bairaktaris and Jack Ball cruised to a victory, winning 6-1, 6-4. At JV 1, Zak Gardner won 7-5. At JV 2 singles, Ben Straley won 6-2 in both of his matches. At 1 doubles, Caiden Shofroth and Mason Burdan won both of their matches. They won 8-1 and 6-0. The Wildcats are back in action tonight as they host Merrillville.
