HC Softball (V) Beats Marion Catholic

Hanover Central Varsity vs Marian Catholic High School (7 - 5) - Win: Sienna Stilley collected three hits in six at bats, as Hanover Central defeated Marian Catholic 7-5 on Tuesday. Stilley hit a solo home run to center field in the eleventh inning, tripled in the third inning, and singled in the fifth inning. HC captured the lead, 7-5, in the top of the fourteenth after Brooklyn Oostman singled down the right field line, and Marisa Millsap singled down the left field line, each scoring one run. Jordyn Varble earned the win for the Wildcats. The reliever gave up two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out one and walking one. Claire Edgerton opened the game for Hanover. The pitcher surrendered five runs (four earned) over 11 innings, striking out seven and walking one. Jillian DeYoung provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led the Wildcats with two runs batted in. Stilley and Adee McMahon each collected three hits for Hanover Central Varsity Wildcats. Oostman, Millsap, and Dallas Bowen each collected multiple hits for Hanover. Hanover Central plays at home on Wednesday against Hammond Morton.
