Lapel Bulldogs Squeak By Golden Eagle Softball

Both teams were strong in the circle on Thursday, but Lapel Bulldogs was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 2-1 victory over Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles. Ava Augustinovicz '28 started the game for the Golden Eagles and recorded 18 outs. Augustinovicz began the game for Guerin Catholic Varsity Golden Eagles. The pitcher surrendered six hits and two runs over six innings, striking out seven and walking two. Madi Cain '25, Brooklyn Fritsche '27, and Augustinovicz each collected one hit for the Golden Eagles. Augustinovicz led the team with one run batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Natalie Eiler '25 led the team with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up six walks for the game.
