Carson Planer, a seventh grader, has qualified for the middle school state cross-country meet for the second consecutive year. As captain of the team, Carson demonstrates exceptional leadership and works hard at practice not only for himself but also for his teammates. He has achieved impressive results this season, including a 7th place finish at the Dave Walker Invite, 10th at the Rensselaer Invite, and being crowned the GSSC Conference Champion, remaining undefeated in all dual and tri meets. Gabriel Castro, a sixth grader, is making waves in his first year on the team by also qualifying for the state meet. He placed 17th at the Rensselaer Invite and was the runner-up at the conference meet. Together, Carson and Gabriel will compete in the state meet in Terre Haute on Saturday, October 5th, among over 400 runners. Best of luck to both athletes as they take on this exciting challenge!
