Gabi Henry Excels at WPAYO Youth Clay Target Invitational

Greensburg Salem student-athlete Gabi Henry turned in an outstanding performance this past weekend at the WPAYO Youth Clay Target Invitational while competing with the Hempfield clay target team. Henry competed in multiple disciplines throughout the weekend, showcasing her versatility and consistency against some of the top youth shooters in the area. On Saturday, Henry competed in three different trap disciplines in the Elite division for the 16–18-year-old age group. She began the day by shooting two rounds of regular trap from the 16-yard line before moving back to the 21-yard line for a round of Handicap trap. She then finished the day with a round of Wobble trap from the 16-yard line. Henry finished Saturday with an impressive score of 87 out of 100 targets, earning her the distinction of Female High Gun for the day. On Sunday, Henry decided to challenge herself by trying something new, competing in Sporting Clays. She entered the Novice division for the 16–18-year-old age group and took on a full course that traveled through the woods and featured a total of 100 targets. Henry once again performed well, finishing the day in second place with a score of 67 out of 100 targets. With a first-place finish among female competitors on Saturday and a second-place finish in Sporting Clays on Sunday, Henry enjoyed an impressive weekend at the WPAYO Youth Clay Target Invitational and demonstrated her ability to compete across multiple clay target disciplines.
