GREENSBURG — Junior Luke Sikora delivered an impressive performance for the Greensburg Salem boys golf team on Tuesday, August 18, carding a 4-under-par 32 with five birdies at Youghiogheny Country Club. Despite Sikora’s strong round, the Golden Lions fell to the Norwin Knights, 197-188, in their season opener. Sikora’s 32 earned him medalist honors for the match on the par-36 course and highlighted an encouraging individual performance for Greensburg Salem. Norwin was led by Jacob George, who posted an even-par 36, while Landon Stoner and Riley Shaffer each finished with a 37. With the loss, Greensburg Salem opens the season at 0-1, while Norwin improves to 1-0.
