The Greensburg Salem Athletic Department is proud to announce that the members of the 1989 and 1990 Keystone Football Conference Championship teams will be recognized during a special ceremony prior to the Golden Lions' home football game on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Historic Offutt Field. These two championship teams represent one of the most successful eras in Greensburg Salem football history. The Golden Lions captured back-to-back Keystone Football Conference Championships in 1989 and 1990, establishing a legacy of excellence, hard work, and pride that continues to inspire Greensburg Salem student-athletes today. Players, coaches, managers, cheerleaders, and family members from both championship teams are invited to return to Offutt Field to celebrate the accomplishments of these historic teams and reconnect with former teammates and friends. As part of the evening's festivities, a tailgate reception will be held for team members and their families beginning at 5:30 PM under the scoreboard at Offutt Field. The reception will provide an opportunity for alumni to gather, share memories, and celebrate their place in Golden Lions history. The championship teams will then be recognized on the field during a special pregame ceremony at 6:45 PM before kickoff. The Athletic Department is asking all members of the 1989 and 1990 teams to respond regardless of whether they are able to attend so that proper arrangements can be made for the event.
