Bella Dinkel is putting together a standout track and field season, earning recognition both at the county level and in regional media for her performances. At the Westmoreland County Coaches Association Track & Field Championships, held at Mt. Pleasant Area High School, Dinkel was named Championship Track MVP after an impressive showing across multiple events. She claimed first place in both the 100-meter hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles, showcasing her versatility, speed, and technical precision. In addition to her victories, she contributed valuable team points by finishing fifth in two other events, rounding out a dominant all-around performance. Her success at the WCCA meet is just one highlight in what has been a remarkable season. Earlier this year, Dinkel broke her school’s record in the 200-meter dash—despite it being her first time competing in the event. She posted a time of 25.51 seconds, setting a new benchmark and demonstrating her natural sprinting ability. Dinkel’s accomplishments have not gone unnoticed beyond the track. On May 2, she was named TribLive Westmoreland County Athlete of the Week, an honor that recognizes top athletic performances across the region. The award reflects both her individual success and her impact on her team throughout the season. With her combination of speed, strength, and competitive drive, Dinkel continues to establish herself as one of the top track and field athletes in Westmoreland County. As the season progresses, she will look to build on her momentum and add even more accolades to an already impressive résumé.
