Big Third Inning Leads Grant Junior Varsity Tigers Past Hart By GameChanger Grant Junior Varsity Tigers defeated Hart 9-1 on Saturday thanks in part to seven runs in the third inning. Emerson Obenauf doubled, scoring two runs, an error scored two runs, Evan Chesebro singled, scoring one run, Dennis Kuikstra drew a walk, scoring one run, and a wild pitch scored one run. Hunter Holmgren earned the win for Grant Junior Varsity Tigers. The hurler surrendered two hits and one run over three and one-third innings, striking out seven and walking two. #8 stepped on the mound first for Hart. The starter surrendered three hits and five runs (four earned) over two innings, striking out one and walking four. Montana Hansen collected the save. Kent City added to their early lead in the top of the third inning when #24 doubled, scoring two runs, and #2 grounded out, scoring one run.
