Desmond Smith and Hunter Holmgren each collected two hits for Grant Junior Varsity Tigers. Grant Junior Varsity Tigers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Emerson Obenauf hit a sacrifice fly, and Kent City dropped a third strike, each scoring one run. Grant Junior Varsity Tigers added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Emerson Obenauf singled down the left field line, and Hunter Holmgren doubled to left field, each scoring one run. Kent City captured the lead, 7-4, in the bottom of the third when #4 drew a walk, scoring one run, #5 was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and #21 drew a walk, scoring one run. #4 earned the win for Kent City.
