The Tiger defense held the Vikings to an average of 8 points a quarter in downing Tri County 58-32 in the District Semi-final held at Sparta High School. Zaiden Phillips had 11 points and Jack Swanson added 10, but it was Blake Rider's 17 first half points that gave Grant a 38-17 lead at the break. Coach Dan George: "During the game, Coach Rider and I didn't think our defense was up to expectations, but then the scoreboard shows them with 32 points for the final, and I thought I should be happy with that." Grant will play Fremont on Friday at 7pm for the District Championship. The Packers held off a furious comeback by Sparta to win 56-49.
