The Tigers completed a perfect conference championship run (10-0) for the second consecutive year, and even more impressive they sealed an undefeated regular season (22-0) for the first time in school history with a dominant 72-55 victory over conference rival Big Rapids. Grant came out blazing on offense and stifling on defense and led 24-9 at the end of quarter #1, paced by Zaiden Phillips 16 points in that quarter. Big Rapids cut the lead to 37-29 at the half, but the second half was all Tigers. Phillips was "limited" to 11 points in the second half but hard driving Jack Swanson had 14 second half points to finish with 23. Phillips again led all scorers with 27. Coach Dan George: "These guys left me speechless tonight. Austin (Gragg) didn't have a great shooting night but he deflected passes and rebounded well. Guys came off the bench and played hard. I had to send two starters home from practice yesterday because they were sick. Those two (Blake Rider and Kohen Obenhauf) combined for 17 points and defended and rebounded exceptionally well. Jack Swanson stepped up big and Zaiden, well, he is just Zaiden. I couldn't be prouder of these guys. They do it the right way."
