Grand Leddge Senior Christian Helzer has signed to play golf collegiately at the University of Detroit Mercy. "Mercy is getting a tremendous player/student/person in Christian Helzer; he has a tremendous work ethic one all coaches love to have, he is a fabulous student and honestly in my 8 years as the Boys coach one of the most pleasant humble young men I have coached," coach Jeff Miller said. "Christian will have an immediate impact on Mercy's program and I fully expect him to contribute immediately upon his arrival on campus and I promise, knowing him as I do, he will be one of the most prepared incoming Freshman Mercy has seen in a while. Everyone associated with the Athletic Department at University of Detroit will never regret recruiting or calling Christian one of their own. He will represent the University of Detroit Mercy in the highest of regards with honor and integrity.
