Farmers Branch, TX — The Garland Christian Academy Lady Swords delivered a commanding performance Tuesday night, sweeping The Cambridge School of Dallas Lady Lions 3-0 (25-11, 25-11, 25-11) in their first district victory of the season. From the opening serve, the Lady Swords set the tone with relentless energy and precision, showcasing one of their strongest serving nights of the year. Consistent pressure from the service line kept the Lady Lions on their heels and allowed Garland Christian to control the tempo throughout all three sets. “We had a very strong night at the net and stayed consistent with our serve as a team,” said Head Coach Sarah Johnson. The Lady Swords’ ability to string together long serving runs created separation early in each set, and their defensive discipline ensured Cambridge never found a rhythm. Whether it was aces, tough floaters, or well-placed serves, Garland Christian’s serving game was the difference-maker. With the win, the Lady Swords improve to 1-1 in district play, building momentum as they prepare for their next matchup against Alcuin School. That game is set for Thursday at 7:00 PM on their home court.
