Freshman vs Frankenmuth High School (7 - 20) Loss FRANKENMUTH — The Freeland Freshman Falcons traveled to Frankenmuth on September 24 and came up short in a 20-7 contest. Freeland struck first when quarterback Matteo Aimar connected with Wesley Otto for a 33-yard touchdown pass. Eli Senkowski converted the PAT to give the Falcons a 7-0 lead. Frankenmuth tied the game with just 52 seconds remaining in the second quarter, sending the teams into halftime knotted at 7-7. The Eagles took the lead with 3:48 remaining in the third quarter, scoring a touchdown and adding the PAT to make it 14-7. Frankenmuth capped the scoring with another touchdown at the 4:58 mark of the fourth quarter. The extra point was no good, making the final score 20-7. Aimar finished 4-of-13 passing for 69 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, Riley Blohm led the Falcons with nine tackles, while Connor Wismer recorded six tackles. Wesley Otto added a fumble recovery. The Falcons will be back on the road Thursday, October 1, when they travel to St. Johns for a 4:30 p.m. kickoff.
