Junior Varsity vs Spring Lake High School (34 - 14) Win Freeland's Junior Varsity was trailing 7-6 after a slow start in the first quarter after the two hour forty min bus ride to Spring Lake, but rallied to a 34-14 win. Freeland's started their opening drive with a fumble, held Spring Lake to a three and out. On Freeland's next possession Spring Lake intercepted a pass by Cam Jamie and took it 55 yards for a score. Freeland would calm down and get back to their winning way of football and out score Spring Lake 34-7 the rest of the way. Defense was lights out again behind the play of Gavin Crelly. Gavin had 5 tackles with a sac. Ayden Wise and Ethan Chesney both had nice games with 5 tackles respectfully. Offense was led by Wyatt Brewer. Wyatt had 9 carries for 99 yards with two touchdowns. Wyatt also had one reception for 32 yards for a touchdown. Ethan Chesney ran 5 times for 98 yards. Cam Jamie had a great game taking over at quarterback. Cam was 4/5 for 83 yards with one touchdown. Cam also ran 8 times for 67 with two scores. Freeland is now 3-0 on the season and takes another tough opponent next week in John Glenn. Kickoff is 6:15pm at Falcon Stadium.
