Freshman vs Dexter High School (14 - 23) Loss The Freeland Freshman Falcons traveled to Dexter on September 9, falling to the Dreadnaughts 23-14 despite a strong fourth-quarter comeback. Dexter got on the scoreboard first in the opening quarter when a snap sailed over the Freeland punter’s head, resulting in a safety and a 2-0 lead. Dexter extended its advantage in the second quarter with a 35-yard touchdown pass and successful two-point conversion, sending the Falcons into halftime trailing 10-0. Dexter added another touchdown on a 16-yard pass in the third quarter to take a 16-0 lead. The Falcons continued to battle and found the end zone in the fourth quarter. Riley Blohm capped a Freeland drive with a 2-yard touchdown run to get the Falcons on the board. Dexter answered with a touchdown of its own, but Freeland responded again as Matteo Aimar scored on a 7-yard run. Aimar then connected with Wesley Otto for the successful two-point conversion to make the final score 23-14. Blohm led the Freeland rushing attack with 88 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. As a team, the Falcons rushed 33 times for 172 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Eli Senkowski led the Falcons with seven tackles. Brandon Stamann and Justin Eberhart each recorded five tackles. The Freshman Falcons are now 1-2 on the season and will return home to face the John Glenn Bobcats at 4:30 p.m.
