Junior Varsity vs Swan Valley High School Win Freeland Junior Varsity beats rival Swan Valley 20-0. Heat delays, Lightning delays and possibly the hottest game the JV team has ever played couldn't stop them from beating rival Swan Valley 20-0. The first half was back and forth with both teams trying to figure each other out. In the first half it seemed the first team to score would be victorious. It was dead locked 0-0 to end the first half. Swan Valley received the second half kickoff, during their first drive they made the mistake of throwing Jaxon Horner's way. Jaxon intercepted the pass and gave the ball back to the offense. It was the spark the team needed. Jaxon finished the game with 3 tackles, 1 interception, 2 catches for 50 yards on offense. With Jaxon's help the defenes held Swan Valley's explosive offense to just 47 total yards. Cam Jamie led the defense with 8 tackles one for loss. Vaughn Pohl had a solid game with 4 tackles, 2 for loss and a QB sack. Offense finally got things moving and scored after the interception by Horner, scoring 3 straight touchdowns. The team rushed for 211 yards on 34 carries. The offensive line consisting of Carter Cunningham, Beckett Zehnder, Raymond Fox, Vaughn Pohl, Robbie Brandt opened some nice holes for Brewer, Winchell and Caudy. Wyatt Brewer rushed 12 times for 60 yards and a touchdown. Joey Caudy finished with 48 yards on 12 carries and completing 4 passes for 87 yards. Player of thr night was Colton Winchell. Colton rushed for 103 yards on 10 carries with two touchdowns. He also had 5 tackles on defense. Coach Kowalski and his JV teams are now 15-0 against Swan Valley. Freeland travels to Spring Lake next Friday for a double header with the varsity. Kickoff for JV is 4:30pm
