Freshman vs Swan Valley High School (6 - 31) Loss The Freeland Freshman Falcons traveled to Swan Valley High School on Wednesday, September 2, to take on the Swan Valley Vikings. The Falcons battled throughout the contest but ultimately fell to the Vikings, 31-6. Swan Valley opened the scoring with a touchdown in the first quarter to take the early lead. Freeland answered in the second quarter when quarterback Matteo Aimar connected with Wesley Otto for a 13-yard touchdown pass. The Falcons' two-point conversion attempt was unsuccessful, leaving the score tied at 6-6. The Vikings responded with another touchdown before halftime, sending Freeland into the locker room trailing 12-6. Swan Valley took control in the second half, scoring twice in the third quarter and adding another touchdown in the fourth to secure the 31-6 victory. Despite the loss, Riley Blohm turned in an outstanding performance for the Falcons. Blohm led the Freeland rushing attack with 142 yards on 12 carries, averaging nearly 12 yards per attempt. He also made an impact defensively, recording an interception. Brandan Stamann led the Falcons' defense with 8 tackles, while Henry McCullogh finished with 7 tackles. With the loss, the Freshman Falcons move to 1-1 on the season. Freeland will be back on the road on Wednesday, September 9, when the Falcons travel to Dexter High School for a 4:30 p.m. kickoff.
