Ogemaw Heights led 21-0 with 5:23 left in the third quarter before Freeland mounted a comeback, cutting the deficit to 21-14 with 5:15 remaining in the fourth on a 14-yard touchdown pass from Elijah Washabaugh to Max Tompa. Landon Brown then pinned Ogemaw at their own 5-yard line with a clutch kickoff, but Ogemaw fought out of their own territory and eventually sealed the 27-14 victory with a game-clinching 40-yard touchdown run on fourth down with 2:53 left. Offensively, Washabaugh finished with 51 rushing yards, a touchdown, and 105 passing yards, while Brock Geth (41 rushing yards, seven tackles), Ryan Watkins (28 rushing yards), and Isaac (three catches, 42 yards) all contributed.
