The Flashes hosted their first ever Field of Dreams meet last night. Field of Dreams is a unique meet that features all 5 field events. In long jump, Jayon Harvey was 4th and Will McKinley placed 6th. In high jump, all 3 Flashes jumpers placed in the top 4, with Braylen Gillard taking home the first place medal. Demetrius Dillard set a new personal best with a 46-foot throw. Mathew Bertram set an outdoor season's best with a vault of 13 feet 6 inches. In addition, sophomore Preston Stokell not only won the discus throw, he set a new personal best in pole vault with a jump of 10 feet 6 inches. The meet was full of fun, music, food trucks, and excellent displays of sportsmanship and comradery amongst all the athletes. We are already looking forward to next year's Field of Dreams. Great job!!
