Boys 3rd, Girls 4th in the HCC

The Franklin Central Boys and Girls Cross Country teams finished 3rd and 4th respectively in the Hoosier Crossroads Conference meet Saturday. The HCC boasts a field where 7 of 8 teams are ranked in the top 20 in the state on both boys and girls sides. The boys were outpaced only by #2 Noblesville and #3 Zionsville to finish 3rd, led by senior Brayden Henkle's runner-up finish. Henkle's time of 15:16 broke the previous meet record of 15:24. Girls finished 4th overall behind #2 Noblesville, #4 Hamilton Southeastern, and #6 Zionsville, led by sophomore Savana Miller's 11th place finish. Miller earned All-HCC honors as well as a new PR of 18:53. Both teams are in action this Saturday at the Nike XC Town Invite, a night race under the lights on the State meet course.
