The Flashes placed 4th in the Marion County Track Meet last evening and also had some excellent performances. It was a great night and one last meet before the Flashes head into the state tournament. The 4x400 of Hudson Moritz, Kervenson Clerger, Joey Ashman, and Ivan Weaver broke the school record with a time of 3:18.45. Great job 4x4!! Ivan Weaver was also the Marion County champion in the pole vault, and broke his own school record placing 2nd in the 400 (48.08). He also placed 3rd in the 200 with a time of 22.33, with Hudauri Hines placing 8th with a time of 22.60. Kervenson Clerger took 6th place in the 400 with a time of 50.45. Joey Ashman was 5th in the 800 running a 1:58. In the mile, Joey Ashman was 2nd and Justin Reedus was 5th with times of 4:23 and 4:34. Both Cooper Trout and Kade McDermott scored in the 2 mile with times of 10:10 and 10:21. The 4x100 relay of Harvey, Hines, Moritz, and Swanigan placed 2nd with a time of 42.38 and will be chasing the school record next week at Greenfield (they are #2 all time currently). Finally, in the field, Preston Stokell took 5th place in pole vault and Lauron Johnson was 7th in high jump. The Flashes are in action again next week at Greenfield High School for the beginning of the state tournament. Good job Flashes!!
