Last night the Flashes placed 6th at the HCC Conference Track Meet and had some excellent performances. Justin Reedus ran a 9:39.82 in the 3200 and placed 4th, with an excellent “kick” in the last 100 meters. In discus, Preston Stokell threw 140 feet and placed 6th (also placed 6th in pole vault), giving the Flashes some much needed points in the field. The 4x1 of Harvey, Hines, Moritz, and Swanigan ran 42.04, the 2nd fastest time in school history, and placed 2nd. And the 4x4 of Keck, Clerger, Ashman, and Weaver ran 3:20.33 which was also the 2nd fastest time in school history and tied the HCC meet record. The “man of the meet” was Ivan Weaver. Ivan placed 5th in the 200 (22.68), 2nd in the 400 (breaking his own school record), 3rd in pole vault with a vault of 14-6 (2nd all-time pole vault record) and was a part of the HCC champion 4x400 at the end of the meet. Great job Flashes!!
