The Flashes Boys’ track team had their first warm weather track meet against Avon last night. The overall score favored the Orioles, but there were some excellent performances as the Flashes begin to gear up for the Championship run of the season. In the field, Preston Stokel threw 143’ 6” in discus, and Lauron Johnson had a personal best high jump of 6” 3’. On the track, the 4x1 of Harvey, Hines, Moritz, and Swanigan ran 42.58 and took first place. A nice surprise came in the 300 hurdles when Hainje, Clerger, and Snell took places 1,3, and 4 with times of 40.81, 43.13, and 43.17. Tim Ruley also ran a personal best 52.09 in the open 400. The Flashes are in action again Thursday April 18th at home in the “Field of Dreams” meet.
