Flashes take 2nd at Flashes Invite

The Flashes varsity volleyball team hosted their home invitation this past Saturday and took home second place. In their morning pool the flashes earned the 2-0 win over North Decatur. Senior Regan Harvey and junior Grace Moore combined for four blocks on the match. Senior Sam Harris helped based the defense with 4 digs while junior Marisa Henderson added 3 kills offensively. Next up, the Flashes took down Ft. Wayne Southside in two sets. Junior Reagan Conwell based the defense with 8 receptions and 4 digs while sophomore Keira Meierant also added 2 digs. Sophomore Lilli Young chipped in on offense with 2 kills. In the afternoon pool the Flashes faced fellow HCC school Zionsville, dropping the match 1-2. Sophomore Abby Kaminski lead the offense with 9 kills while junior Zyon Francis added 7 with 0 errors on the match. Senior Liv Tarter had 14 digs while sophomore Lilly Joseph added 10. Junior setter Abby Graves had a season-high 22 assists. To finish off the day, the Flashes took down 2A powerhouse, Pioneer. The Flashes were paced by a solid defense with Graves leading the way with 7 digs while junior Mollie Fitzgerald added 4. Freshman Brenna Storz combined with Francis for a total of 7 blocks.
