Congratulations to our August Athletes of the Month brought to you by Tire Discounters! Each athlete was chosen by their coach based upon their performance and/or leadership during the month of August Breece Bass- Breece has 9 goals and 5 assists this month. 4 game-winning goals as well. In addition to that she was voted a captain by the team this year. The Murray State commit is the focal point of our attack! Armaan Mahal- Armaan scored 4 goals in the month of August to lead the team in scoring while maintaining impeccable standards in the classroom. Kylie Cline- Individual Marion County CHAMPION! Time of 18:27 is currently the 5th fastest time in the State! Evan Farmer- Marion County Runner Up Quinn Gibbons- Quinn is one of our Senior Co-Captains. She has been outstanding as a leader on her team, a strong base and exceptional sideline cheerleader. She coordinated senior pictures and events, managed the teams social media accounts, and continues to be the main communicator between coaches, cheerleaders and the student section. She promotes school spirit, camaraderie amongst teammates, and maintains excellent academic records as well. Quinn is a role model on her team and in school. Jayon Harvey- Jayon is one of the best players and teammates I have had the pleasure to coach. He plays all three phases of the game and never complains. Just keeps working and showing the younger players how to give their best. He is a great kid. Kayla Parris- Kayla placed 4th in Marion County and helped lead the team to 2nd place overall Abby Kaminski- Abby leads the team in kills with 120 on a 39% kill percentage. She’s accumulated 13 aces and 83 digs as well. The Junior outside has had a great start to the season off the court as well providing sound leadership to the underclassmen. She’s also an incredibly competitive individual who pushes those around her to be better every day. Hayden Hege- Hayden defeated Brownsburg #1 player in straight sets last week. Brownsburg was ranked #22 in the state. Hayden has also shown great leadership to our younger players and is our hardest worker during the off season and season. #WeAreFlashes
