Volleyball Heartbreaker

The varsity volleyball team lost a heartbreaker 2-3 against defending State Champions Western Boone. The team left it all on the court and will take this momentum into the Hot Dog Invite this Saturday. Lily Rockhold had 22 kills, Jalen Smith had 36 assists. Grace Myers had 14 digs and 3 aces, and Caroline Queen had 10 digs and 7 kills. Chloe Moudy had 7 kills and 3 blocks, and Adelaide Keck had 25/25 serving with 5 kills. Maddi Shoemaker had 3 digs, Sophie Micheal had 4 digs, and Emily Gil Guijosa had an ace. In JV action, the team was off to a slow start but bounced back in game two to make it a match. Izzy Edgar had 7 digs, Bella Vega had 3 digs, Maddi Shoemaker had 6 digs, and Morgan Berry had 4 digs. Hadley Shaffer had 3 kills and 2 aces. Charlie Minor had 2 kills, and Jaylyn Stewart had 7 assists and 4 digs. The team also celebrated educators who have made a difference in their lives. Thank you to all of those who made it and thank you for your dedication to Frankfort Schools. The girls look to bounce back on Saturday at the Hot Dog Invite when they take on Carroll, Tri County, and Madison Grant. The first JV match begins at 9:00 in Case Arena.
