The volleyball teams came away with sweeps Monday night at Taylor. For the JV, Hadley Shaffer and Charlie Minor each had 4 kills, Izzy Edgar had 3 kills and 3 aces, Bella Vega had 5 aces, and Jalyn Stewart had 9 assists. Morgan Berry and Maddi Shoemaker each had 2 aces, Maylie Perez had 2 kills, and Sadie Sheets had 4 aces. The varsity started the match with an 18 point run led by the serving of Caroline Queen who also tallied 4 aces. Jalen Smith had 25 assists, Lily Rockhold had 10 kills, and Adelaide Keck had a personal best of 10 kills. Chloe Moudy had an ace and 3 blocks, Sophie Micheal had 3 aces and 3 kills, and Grace Myers had 4 digs. Erin Wills and Maddi Shoemaker each had a kill, Karmen Vega was 2/2 serving, and Izzy Edgar had 2 kills. The passing combination of Morgan Berry, Sadie Sheets, Addi Gephart, and Emely Gil Guijosa was solid throughout the match. This Thursday - 9/11 - the team is thrilled to host the elementary players who came to our camp in August. Wear your Game Day shirt and sign in at the ticket table to get into the match for free.
