Last night the Lady Hot Dogs welcomed the Hornets of Rossville to Case Arena for a JV half and Varsity matchup. In the Varsity game the Lady Hot Dogs gave the Hornets all they could handle in the second and fourth quarters, as well as generating a lot of open shots in our Halfcourt offense with our ball and player movement in the 59-17 loss. Ella McAtee led the way with 14 points and Erin Wills added 3. On the glass Briana Flores, Erin Wills, and Gracie Layton all had 3 rebounds. On the defensive side, Ella McAtee had 4 steals, Gracie Layton had 3 steals, Given West had 3 steals, Briana Flores blocked two shots, and Gracie Layton added a block and took a charge. The last three games the Lady Hot Dogs have also played really good halfcourt defense and are looking forward to their next game when they travel to Western Boone on Friday. In the JV game the Lady Hot Dogs played hard and forced the Hornets into many 3 point attempts and did a nice job of keeping them out of the lane in their 27-10 defeat. In the scoring column, Given West had 3, Abbey Hall had 3, Briana Flores 2, and Serenity Ragan 2. The JV is looking forward to their next game when they also play at Western Boone on Friday. Go Hot Dogs!
