The Lady Hot Dogs welcomed the Bulldogs to Case Arena on Friday evening. The Varsity scored a season high in points, had our first double double of the season, and the JV picked up their second straight win. Even though the 58-28 score did not go our way, the Hot Dogs found a very good offensive rhythm in the second half as were we able to find open people, run the floor for some easy layups, and knock down some shots. Kynlee Myers led the scoring output with 10 points, Ava Jarman added 7, and Daizy Santos Valdez chipped in 6. On the glass, Kynlee Myers pulled down 10 rebounds, which was our first double-double of the season and Kynlee's first career double-double, Ava Jarman and Erin Wills also grabbed 3 rebounds apiece. On the defensive side the Hot Dogs did force 23 turnovers with Daizy Santos Valdez grabbing 3 steals, Ella McAtee 2, and Ava Jarman 2. Daizy also added a block to the defensive effort. The Varsity will play again on Tuesday, November 19th at North Montgomery. In the JV contest the Hot Dogs were able to secure their second straight win as they outscored the Bulldogs 30-13. A first half that saw the Hot Dogs score 24 points led the way along with some strong defensive play contributed to the win. Given West and Ava Jarman led the scoring with 6 points apiece, Ashley Mendoza-Jimenez and Kynlee Myers each had four. Gracie Layton 3, Maria Roese-Scott 2, Serenity Ragan 2, Erin Wills 1. The JV will play again on November 19th at North Montgomery. Both teams are looking forward to Tuesday night, GO HOT DOGS!!!
