In their first game of the regular season the Lady Hot Dogs traveled to Carroll to take on the Cougars. In the loss, the Lady Hot Dogs were able to put together a solid second half where they were able to apply some pressure, get to the free throw line, and get some good looks at the basket. We were led in scoring by Ella McAtee with 6 and Ava Jarman with 5. On the glass, Ava Jarman led us with 4 rebounds. In the steals department, Ella McAtee had 3, Given West 2 had 2, and Gracie Layton added 2. Daizy Santos Valdez and Ava Jarman each added a blocked shot to the defensive effort. The JV lost their game, playing good half court defense with effort, energy, and enthusiasm. The JV was led in scoring by Given West with 3. The Lady Hot Dogs are looking forward to their next game when they travel to Fountain Central on Friday. Go Hot Dogs!
