This past Saturday the Girls swim team traveled to Lafayette Jefferson to face of in their sectional finals. The girls swam incredibly well coming in 8th place with a combined score of 84 points. Some top performances individually came from Giselle Figueroa and Hadley Shaffer. Giselle placed 11th in her 100 Butterfly with a time of 1:07.03. Hadley Shaffer placed 10th in her 100 Butterfly with a time of 1:06.96 and also placed 14th in her 200 IM with a time of 2:44.15. The relays did incredibly well with the girls 200 Medley relay consisting of Shaffer, Cornejo-Torres, Figeuroa and Campbell placed 8th with a time of 2:15.79. The girls 200 Free relay consisting of Valencia, Campos Vasquez, Hernandez-Arse and Castaneda placed 8th with a time of 2:18.32. Lastly the girls 400 Free relay consisting of Castaneda, Figueroa, Shaffer and Campbell placed 7th with a time of 4:31.67.
