The Rangers fell to the Evansville North Huskies, 12-3, on Monday evening. The Rangers struck early, capitalizing on a bases-loaded walk by Korbyn Persohn and a pair of runs scoring on a passed ball to take a 3-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Evansville North responded in the bottom half, tying the game with a three-run frame that included a home run to left field by Carson Conley. The Huskies took control in the third with two more runs, then broke the game open in the fourth, scoring six on five hits and a wild pitch. Jaxon Lueken got the start for Forest Park, tossing a scoreless opening inning with one strikeout. EJ Brosmer took the loss in relief, pitching two innings and allowing eight runs—all unearned—on six hits, while striking out two. At the plate, Jared Burger, Hudson King, and Tyler Fetter each recorded a hit. Persohn drove in one of the Rangers’ three runs. Nolan Begle reached base twice via walks, and the Rangers showed discipline at the plate overall, drawing seven free passes.
