The Forest Park Rangers put together a complete performance on Saturday, defeating North Daviess 11-0 behind a dominant outing from Hudson King. King was in control from the first pitch, striking out 10 batters over seven shutout innings. He allowed just two hits and did not issue a walk, keeping North Daviess from ever building momentum. Forest Park broke through offensively in the third inning. Grant Fleck got things started with an RBI single, King added a sacrifice fly, and Riley Begle followed with a two-run single to give the Rangers a 4-0 lead. The Rangers continued to apply pressure throughout the game and pulled away in the seventh inning. Forest Park scored five runs in the frame, highlighted by a two-run triple from Damion Kline and additional run-scoring hits from Begle and Cam Lueken. At the plate, the Rangers finished with 14 hits. Lueken led the way with three hits, while Begle drove in three runs. Fleck and Kline each added multiple hits, and the team stayed aggressive on the bases with five stolen bases. With strong pitching, consistent hitting, and pressure on the bases, Forest Park controlled the game from start to finish. The Rangers will look to keep it going Tuesday as they travel to South Spencer.
