The Forest Park Rangers fell to Boonville 8-1 on Thursday. Boonville took control early, scoring two runs in the first inning on a single and a groundout. The Rangers stayed within reach behind a solid outing from Hudson King, who allowed just two runs over five innings. Forest Park continued to compete through the middle innings but couldn’t break through offensively. Boonville pulled away in the seventh, scoring six runs on a series of hits and walks to extend their lead. Forest Park played clean defense, finishing the game without an error. Grant Fleck led the team with two hits, while King drove in the Rangers’ lone run. The Rangers will look to bounce back Friday as they travel to Evansville Mater Dei.
