The #3 Fishers Tigers Varsity Baseball Team (17-4/9-1) lost at #9 Avon Orioles 7-0 to split the HCC Series. The Orioles jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st and never looked back. The Tigers could not generate any offense and only had 6 base runners all game (a triple, 2 singles, and 3 walks). Zander Carnahan had a triple, and Luke Cherry and Justin Brown both had singles. Starting pitcher Hayden Werner (3-1) took the loss on the mound pitching 4.1 innings, allowing 4 earned runs on 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and hitting 2 batters. Quinn Distler pitched the final 1.2 innings allowing 2 earned runs on 1 hit, 2 walks, and 2 hit batters. The Tigers look to bounce back Friday night when they host the New Castle Trojans on Senior Night. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30pm.
