Fishers Falls to Avon After Big 4th Inning

Avon Varsity Orioles defeated Fishers Varsity Tigers 11-1 on Tuesday thanks in part to seven runs in the fourth inning. Fishers Varsity Tigers got on the board in the fourth inning after Kendall Jordan doubled, scoring one run. Avon Varsity Orioles flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring seven runs on five hits to take the lead, 7-1. The biggest blow in the inning was an error that drove in two. Addie Forst earned the win for Avon Varsity Orioles. The hurler surrendered three hits and one run (zero earned) over six innings, striking out seven and walking five. Kate Murray took the loss for Fishers Varsity Tigers. The hurler went three and one-third innings, surrendering seven runs (five earned) on five hits, striking out one and walking two. Kendall Jordan led Fishers Varsity Tigers with one run batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Fishers Varsity Tigers had patience at the plate, collecting five walks for the game. Adrianne Cook and Hailey Kinder led the team with two bases on balls each. Fishers Varsity Tigers turned one double play in the game. Avon Varsity Orioles amassed 10 hits in the game. Lylah DeArmond went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Avon Varsity Orioles in hits.
