Your #1 ranked varsity boys volleyball goes on the road and finishes 4-0 for last week. On Monday, the Tigers traveled to #10 Carmel to what ended up being the closest match of the week. It took 5 sets for the Tigers to seal a victory (24-26, 25-19, 20-25, 25-21, 15-12). The next day, the team traveled to #7 Zionsville. After dropping the first set, the Tigers won the next 3 to win 3-1 (19-25, 27-25, 25-13, 25-18). On Wednesday, it was a similar story at #3 Westfield with another 3-1 victory (23-25, 25-22, 25-16, 25-21). Last match was on Friday at #13 North Central. The Tigers pulled the 3-0 sweep (25-22, 25-15, 25-13). The last two weeks will also be very busy for the Tigers. On Tuesday, the team travels to #5 Perry Meridian, followed on Wednesday with a home conference match vs Brownsburg. On Thursday, the team travels to HSE for the coveted MUDSOCK match! Finally, the varsity team travels to the Lincoln-Way East Invitational in IL to compete in their 33rd annual tournament. It’s the oldest boys volleyball tournament in the state of IL. In addition to top teams from IL, 2nd place finish from last year’s IBVCA state tournament, Cathedral Irish, are also joining this very competitive tournament. Join us in wishing both IN teams the best of luck representing our amazing state!
